TO BE BURIED tells in first person the story of Leanne Harris. A 68 years old transgender woman from London (UK) with a Jewish Orthodox background who led a double life until 16 years ago. She talks about her experience of life, her difficult transition and how Judaism played a complex role in the search for her own identity. A reflection on the personal and social acceptance that crosses borders and tries to open spaces of dialogue on certain fundamental and universal rights of a person against the power exercised by internal social and cultural dynamics of a community as a regulatory and oppressive machinery on the individual.
